Epikon Bitumen PU Astar

It is a polyurethane-based, one-component, high solids, transparent primer material. It cures with the humidity in the air to form an elastic, durable film.

Considerations

Attention should be paid to the application temperature, the application should be done between +5 0C and +35 0C. It should not be applied under rain or in situations where precipitation may occur. The application should be made on the part of the structure that comes into contact with water, and attention should be paid to the drying times in applications between primers and coats. It should be taken into account that the drying time may also be prolonged, as the curing time will increase in cold weather. The materials used can be cleaned with water and solvent based thinner. Application

Before application, all surfaces should be cleaned of oil, grease, paraffin wastes, cement grout, loose particles, mold release agents, cured old membranes and active surfaces such as these that will weaken the adherence. The surface should be cleaned and dried by washing with high pressure water if possible.

Application should be done with a roller, it is ready to use. On very absorbent surfaces, it may be necessary to apply a second coat at least 5-6 hours after the first coat is applied, in order to ensure that the pores are completely closed.
