Epikon Tr Primer Extra

It is a one-component, flexible protective water-based liquid bitumen primer used as a primer in waterproofing applications.

Considerations

Attention should be paid to the application temperature, the application should be done between +5 0C and +35 0C. It should not be applied under rain or in situations where precipitation may occur. The application should be made on the part of the structure that comes into contact with water, and attention should be paid to the drying times in applications between primers and coats. It should be taken into account that the drying time may also be prolonged, as the curing time will increase in cold weather. The materials used can be cleaned with water and solvent based thinner. On the basis of application, protective gloves and goggles should be used. For detailed information, please refer to the product MSDS documents.

Application

The surface to be applied must be a clean, dry, oil-free, repaired surface. If there is a puddle or ponding, it should be removed. After the appropriate conditions are met, EPIKON TR PRIMER EXTRA is applied to the surface with a brush or gun at 400-600 g per square meter and waited until it dries completely. After the material completes its reaction, the second layer is applied in the vertical direction of the first layer application. Waiting time between coats is at least 1-2 hours.
