Epikon Proof Horizontal Membranes, applied directly on blinding concrete without the need for protective concrete, can be installed in single or double layers depending on the building and ground conditions.
Thanks to its protective upper layer, reinforcement works can be carried out on it, and foundation concrete can be poured directly. Its special formula and fine particle sand-textured surface ensure perfect adhesion to the poured foundation concrete, creating a completely watertight surface.
There are three different Epikon Proof systems for foundation applications. The choice depends on the groundwater level, soil conditions, and structural requirements:
For deep foundations exposed to pressurized water, applying the second protective layer (EP200 Proof Protector) is recommended.
Single-Sided Formwork Retaining Walls
Due to dense urbanization, the excavation area is often limited to the building footprint, making single-sided retaining walls a necessity.
Designed for single-sided formwork waterproofing, Epikon EP300 Proof Vertical features a self-adhesive formula for easy application.
Traditional Foundation Waterproofing vs. PROOF Systems
In traditional foundation encapsulation, waterproofing is adhered to the blinding concrete layer, but no adhesion occurs between the membrane and the poured foundation concrete. As a result, water leakage can spread along the foundation due to ground shifts or other factors.
In PROOF systems, the membrane, with its special formula and sand-textured upper surface, bonds strongly to the concrete, preventing water infiltration and stopping water from spreading along the surface. The membrane and structural concrete integrate fully, functioning as a single surface.

ODE Bitumen Emulsion Primer is applied to the surface in accordance with the recipe. Before starting the membrane application, the primer should be allowed to dry for 1 day at 15-20 0C, or 2 days in colder weather. Application should not be made at temperatures below +5 0C and in rainy weather.
ODE RUBİN waterproofing membrane is applied from the lowest level by opening it perpendicular to the slope on terraces or sloping roofs. The membrane is overlapped lengthwise by 15 cm and widthwise by 10 cm. It is glued with a torch flame, as suggested in detail, only at the joints or by the full bonding method. It is applied with mechanical fixation on surfaces that do not allow torch application or in cases where precautions must be taken against wind load. After the first layer of covers is applied to the entire surface, staggering the transverse joints, the second layer of covers should be applied staggered to center the transverse and longitudinal joints of the first layer.
